Redundant Functionality

Best in class companies actually have “lean” software applications. They have limited the amount of unused functionality by carefully planning and managing growth. They have less than ten percent of their applications that are unused. Those worst in class companies have as much redundant and unused functionality as they do used functionality. This means that fifty percent of an application is either unused or is redundant.
